Creating Art
These are the steps I follow in creating art. There is a lot that I learn about the subject before I start to draw.
The photos are taken for reference only, as it is always best to use the live subject to see the nuances, colors and textures.
-
Observation of botanical subject, reference photos, lighting
-
Learning about habitat, plant structure, dissecting parts, life cycle
-
Sketching subject
-
Measured drawing
-
Graphite drawing of composition
-
Color matching
-
Transfer contour line drawing to watercolor paper
-
Layering of watercolor
-
